Batman & Bill (2017)

Everyone thinks that Bob Kane created Batman, but that's not the whole truth. One author makes it his crusade to make it known that Bill Finger, a struggling writer, actually helped invent the iconic superhero, from concept to costume to the very character we all know and love. Bruce Wayne may be Batman's secret identity, but his creator was always a true mystery.

While the documentary has an extremely interesting subject matter, it may only appeal to Batman fans.

It eventually serves as an archetype for anyone who has tried to contribute to a team only to have someone else claim the credit, glory, and rewards that follow in the wake of the team's success.

Interesting story about ambition and creativity.

A powerful film that comes straight from the Heart. Although it is primarily about a Comic Creator it is also about obsession, betrayal and family trauma. In that way it is appealing to a larger audience than just comic fans. In essence the credited creator of Batman airbrushed his collaborator out of the picture. That man was Bill Finger. The story of this injustice is one often told among comic fans. I had been hearing about this for many years .One man made it his work to right this wrong and became almost obsessive about it. There are many obstacles and seeming dead-ends. How he overcomes these and discovers light at the end of the tunnel is fascinating to watch. One of the most uplifting stories because everyone involved just wanted to see justice done.
