Had the film not been so open about its ambition, maybe its mediocrity wouldn’t seem quite so galling.

Bad Turn Worse is a taut noir tale, bolstered by a trio of excellent lead performances and a well-plotted script.

A shambles of stereotypes and predictable plot points. ... However, there's something special and almost good in Bad Turn Worse.

Any thriller from first-time directors that starts out with a couple of teenagers in a Texas diner talking about legendary pulp novelist Jim Thompson has a super-steep hill to climb. Here’s what I can say for Bad Turn Worse... It may not make it all the way up that steep slope, but the effort is pretty doggone entertaining.

It was ok. Reminded me a lot of "Go." A teen makes a commits a crime in order to show his friends a good w'end - things go from bad to worse.
