Loren Mercer, ex-Navy pilot, er i Sor-Stillehavet og leter etter sin ex-kjaereste, Capt John Lightfoot , som forsvant under et hemmelig oppdrag - i mote med en UFO. Med seg har hun en gjeng forskere som skal sjekke det lokale dyrelivet -som bla a inkluderer store edderkopper. Og for ett makkverk av en film dette er. Elendig handling, skuespill og daarlige CGI-effekter - egentlig ikke saa veldig langt unna 50-tallets monsterfilmer. Ingenting her er ekkelt eller stygt. Bare taapelig og dumt. Styr langt unna.

better than expected giant spider movie and som other crispy critters lurking. the tick scene was pretty well made and nasty. a decent watch.

It wasn't much to do with spiders until at the end with giant alien spider with a shell like steel. Good summary of how good the movie was. Even the bit with half a flying caterpillar.

Okay, pretty lame as movies go, but there's something about it that I like. And it's not the huge ass spiders either.

Arachnid is a pretty good movie. Alex Reid was really the only good point as far as acting goes. The spider and centipedes looked pretty decent. The storyline is all off course a bit predictable. The special effect was bad. But, overall, this is an enjoyable movie.
