How do you stop it, a movie that labors as stridently for sitcom feel-goodness?

I knew it was going to be bad, which probably made me like it a little more. A typical story about one lesbian who wants to be in a relationship, and the other wishy washy 'i think i'm a dyke, no wait maybe i'll get married' girl (ooo, that sounded slightly bitter). Watch it if you're bored (I was home sick).

The phrase "lesbian comedy" is not exactly an oxymoron, but April's Shower is still a rarity, an expansive, talky and often zany romantic farce, with lesbian characters at its center.

I had such high hopes for this movie. It looked funny and charming. However, it was just a mess. Absolutely awful! There are so many things wrong with the film: unbelievable and over the top characters, a ridiculous (and at time nonexistent) plot, poor script, bad directing. This should be shown in intro film classes as an example of how NOT to make a movie.
