Swift, condensed distillation of classic novel completely removes Levin and goes for the romance. Good but nothing to write home about.

Oh my God! Absolutley adore it! Greta Garbo's best performance by far. Such a great adaptation of the masterful book. Just soo wonderful.

It's clear that this movie has not stand the test of time. I don't want to see another movie about some upper-class people in Russia, I wanna see revolution.

i've come to appreciate this story much more, but this film doesn't show many of the good bits. lame. oh, and apparently russians enjoy speaking in swedish, south african, irish, and american accents...
