What turns the witlessness rancid is the way the movie is saturated in the very corruption it thinks it's ridiculing.

I think this is a case of hearing so many bad things that you get your expectations really low, and then you end up actually rather enjoying the movie. I didn't realize that this was told pseuo-documentary style, and to be honest I think that hurts the movie. But it's still a cool idea and it's rather funny.
