A cash-in job released around the time of Gladiator, Amazons and Gladiators is little more than an exploitation flick.

This movie is exactly what you think it will be like, only way better, and a lot worse. Everything is entertaining, from the cardboard sets to the silent movie over- acting, the frosted hair and especially the costumes. Ohhh, the costumes. If you like Amazons (and who doesn't), gladiators, Amazons fighting gladiators, strippers acting and some lovely, lovely dialogue, you will enjoy this movie. Minus one star for being chintzy with the soft-core sex.

Amazons and Gladiators may not be big on special effects, but the fight scenes are ok. Basically it's about women standing up for them selves and taking back their freedom from the Gladiators. If you like strong female characters like Xena-Warrior princess than you'll like this film. However if your a guy you may not like this film, as there is a little bit of men bashing in the movie. The phrase that best sums up this movie would be "I am woman here me roar!".

the dialogue and most of the acting is embarrassingly bad but... but... man that girl is SMOKING. She gets 4 stars, and now i have to go wallpaper the rest of my integrity with cheap softcore porn.
