Was so so excited to see this film as I love Eli Roth and everything he's involved in. Bought it on DVD as soon as I could =) It didn't blow me away like i'd hoped but it didn't disappoint either. It was an average story line really but there were a few cool twists and edge of your seat scenes which I loved and are some of the best i've seen in a horror movie. The scenery was amazing, really beautiful and there was plenty of gore although not as much as I expected, it seemed a bit more subtle than i'm used to. Acting, not brilliant unfortunately but I guess that's the case in most horror movies. It was entertaining and it was pretty terrifying, imagine being in that situation!

Certain to generate a slew of lesser imitators, Aftershock manages to shake free from expectations of banality, creating an extremely effective, unsettling experience.

Aftershock is incompetently made and morally muddled, but since talent, morality, and Mr. Roth have never been on speaking terms, we're not exactly surprised.

I liked the way this story played out. it was a fun movie with a lot of unexpected gore.
