It has a pretty awkwardly-plotted first act, and is not without its cheesy moments. But once it hits its stride, it becomes a solid sci-fi/horror thriller, thanks to director Donald Cammell's tense filmmaking, a solid central performance by Julie Christie, and some generally unsettling science-fiction ideas - even if it never quite reaches its full potential. Great score by Jerry Fielding.

One of those 70s "concept" sci-fi movies that are allegedly based on "factual science" that look so laughable now. A computer imprisons a woman in her home in an attempt to couple with her (how it intends to do this remains a mystery) surrounded the usual futuristic flares, kipper ties and wing collars. Amusingly dated, and the suspense elements are creepy/funny depending on your point of view.

I wish they still made movies this way .. the vintage home decore is like reflecting on my childhood hahahah It is a worth watch atleast one time I watched it 4 times today between cooking and cleaning had to restart it finnaly rilly watched it the fourth time and being molested by a horny computer is something that makes the normal person look twice ;p her acting was amazing for the storyline she pulled it off.... i was convinced that a woman could have a baby by any form of man .. will watch it again if they sell this in stores ill by it *
