Fall isn't going to cure the world's ills, but it does define a few of them to satisfaction, creating an engrossing journey into extremity without ringing all the obvious bells on the way down.

Danny King 09 Dec 2014

The movie's flaws — silly plotting and unconvincing psychological groundwork — are Klein's doing.

Todd Jorgenson 31 Dec 2014

There are hints along the way of the socioeconomic strife that Klein wants to explore, yet they become lost in a muddled screenplay that doesn't establish sympathy for its protagonist or his plight.

Sara Stewart 10 Dec 2014

There are a lot of parallels with “Breaking Bad” here: the Southwestern setting, the dorky husband turned criminal, the blond wife and the scene in the carwash. But if you can avoid dwelling on its derivative qualities, After the Fall has its own case to make about how far the middle class has fallen — and continues to slide.

Decent it is, but chill, too slow plus overlong.
