Relationship/love may or may not be complicated. But to explain everything using dialogues may have left all other ingredients of the movie gasping for dear life. Shaayari never got to breathe freely among all the chatter. Lisa Haydon though stood to gain from her dialogues and innocent charm. Ranbir and Anoushka have played their parts well. Some cliches were left standing on the altar, gathering dust - cameos pushing the message further, bollywood poking fun at bollywood to sustain bollywood, age old brotherhood of unrequitted love and terminal illness, middle finger's association with irreverence and creativity - to name a few. Camera loved what it captured, more so with Aishwarya and Vienna. In parts the movie was playing to the layman who is believed to have come looking for his dreams to be fulfilled on screen. Mushkil it is and the viewer is to decide the magnitude.

No one handles relationship drama as good as Karan Johar and it keeps maturing with each movie. And guess what, this time with logic behind everything! Though I think the third act was not required or could have been something else....

SPOILER ALERT: Absolute waste of time and money. 3 hrs of a guy (Ranbir Kapoor) running behind a girl (Anuskha Sharma) who tells him she just wants to be friends. Though Anushka does spend her time being pretty flirty with him and even having a make out scene with him, so sending mixed signals. Yet still only wants to be friends. However she then married her old love (fawad Khan). And even after she gets married Ranbir still wants her. In the middle he seems to have an affair with an older woman (Ashwariya Rai) who falls in love with him and he doesn't love her back. Then suddenly Anushka gets cancer and is about to die. Ranbir still wants her and she still keeps telling him she just wants to be friends. It take 3 hrs for Ranbir to figure out she just wants to be friends.
