Best sci-fi film I’ve seen since Arrival. Interesting plot and great performances.

I have not seen a movie like this in mainstream cinema for quite awhile. This is not to say that a movie such as this does not exist, but it is definitely more on the artsy side. This is a slow paced movie with a lot of quiet moments, which I appreciated. I think it caught the feeling of what actually travelling in space would be like, especially the solitude that is associated with it. It was beautifully shot and the director is obviously incredibly competent. I would recommend it for anybody interested in a character study.

This is my kind of science fiction. Almost no gun or lasers, no aliens, just an excellent look at how the future could possibly look pumped up with a bit of planet saving action. Excellent when you look past a couple of minor and unnecessary plot holes. Brad Pitt great as is futuristic imagery.

A Masterpiece. Brad Pitt deserve an Oscar for this and for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I really loved that. Max Ritcher is perfect.

An odd combination of space adventure, psychological thriller and moody tone poem, it stops just short of dazzlement; instead Ad Astra, like an astronaut lost in space, slowly and majestically floats away.
