Such a fun, sweet movie! Ripley is an amazing talent!

This kiddie crime caper promises fun, but delivers clueless disappointment instead.

Susan Sarandon is playful and awesomely young in this kids whodunit. The music is fun and it opens with a great shot of Manhattan. There's a love-able brother/sister relationship that plays center stage and an awesome dog named Charlie for comedic relief. I saw this a few days ago with my kids and it was great. Overall, a great plot, and some good comedy.

Too violent and dark for kids but too juvenile and bland for grown-ups. Tween detective story is surprisingly violent, dark in tone. A caper movie runs on calibrated chaos. Too much randomness makes the gears grind; too little and it feels overdetermined. Ace the Case has both problems. How is this PG-13?

Ripley Sobo will become a household name in no time! Such a fun flick for young film lovers to start transitioning into a more mature film.
