Jack McCall is a fast-talking literary agent, who can close any deal, any time, any way. He has set his sights on New Age guru Dr. Sinja for his own selfish purposes. But Dr. Sinja is on to him, and Jack's life comes unglued after a magical Bodhi tree mysteriously appears in his backyard. With every word Jack speaks, a leaf falls from the tree and he realizes that when the last leaf falls, both he and the tree are toast. Words have never failed Jack McCall, but now he's got to stop talking and conjure up some outrageous ways to communicate or he's a goner.

Honestly, I did not see a problem in this movie. It was really funny and really creative. Maybe I'm seeing something the critics don't? I dunno, but it was a great movie.

Believe it or not this film is actually not as bad as people might say. You cannot look to hard into the comedic aspect of it. Murphy hasn't been funny in a while. But I don't think that's what this film is about. It's about growing and accepting yourself for who you are and learning to confront your mistakes. All in all this film had an incredible moral to the story and evoked thought through out. Yeah we all want Eddie Murphy back and maybe he wasn't the best choice for this film but except it for what it is and move on. He wasn't trying to win and award with it so grow up people. M

i loved it...i actually put myself in his shoes at the end of the movie...if i had 10 words remaining..who would i use them on?

i thought this was a good family movie...minus the leather scene. i felt it had a very good story line and a good moral undertone.

I don't understand what people didn't like about this movie. Sure it's formulaic and it's another comedy with Eddie Murphy. But how can you not see the lesson it teaches. The heart in this movie and how much it hits home. My entire family felt something in this movie. Aside from the gags and the silliness. There is so much to take away. In a world where everyone does nothing but constantly talk this movie takes a man that has made his living with words and voices and forces him to use only his skill to portray the roll. I guess others just happened to miss it. Ill be buying this movie, though I know it won't make a difference. Our world of miscommunication will continue until we all die. I suggest just waking up one day and feeling what this story is trying to show you.
