Again WOW! Great story!!! And I loved all the characters! I can not seem to find a flaw in this film!! Definitely well written and fantastic acting by Billy Bob Thornton! Beware?this movie is riddled in sadness but thrilling as hell! I fell in love with this movie?let me know what you think!

A Simple Plan is a morality tale about greed and how it can destroy everything it touches. It's a downbeat noir thriller with memorable characters and if you haven't seen the film or read the amazing book by Scott Smith, an element of uncertainty and surprise around almost every corner. I'm really not a fan of Bill Paxton in any way, he's definitely the weakest link in the acting chain here. Billy Bob Thornton on the other hand is amazing, giving his best and most memorable performance since Sling Blade. Bridget Fonda is great too as the seemingly sweet wife who's thirst for wealth is actually the cause of most of the sudden and brutal violence in the film. I've seen A Simple Plan at least a half a dozen times, maybe more, and it never fails to entertain and enthrall me. Storytelling doesn't get much better, or yes, more simple than this, movies often don't either.

Sam Raimi at his finest! The chemistry between Paxton and Thorton is excellent. As the film progresses the viewer too falls into the sin of greed. great direction set up of suspense and conclusion. INCREDIBLE novel as well by Scott Smith.

The best thing about A Simple Plan is that it's pleasing in two different ways.. It is a dark Hitchcockian crime caper with some southern gothic undertones ... And it has that Sam Raimi magic and comedy to it for fans of his. It's almost as if he knew what he was doing all along . Pleasing his fans plus making a movie to be taken serious at the same time. Genius
