A fantastic film. Perfect from start to finish.

Still a great film after all these years. I'm not sure why people complain about the purpose of this film - like all of his films it's primarily about the possibility of redemption; the final scene with the jaded cop in which Bill rejects his lifestyle (which is not a lifestyle, but a "knowledge") makes this crystal clear.

I would have to rate this higher than trust. fulfilled in every single way, with a lot of thought and feeling to it. why the hell is it so hard to come by in scandinavia and what the f*+k happened to great actors burke and sage? (whatever happened to hartley, when we are on that theme...)

There is something stunning about the way this film concludes that tells me that Hal Hartley really knew what he was doing despite the awkward performances.
