In the aftermath of the terrible Civil War which has devastated the South, Amanda America Dixon returns home to find she has become the sole heir to a vast cotton plantation. For all its predictability, A House Divided has surprising power, and I think that power derives from what it doesn't say behind its screens -- those screams of denial.

This was a pretty decent film. It was short and to the point which is good, but I felt had they elaborated on certain scenes it would have made for a stronger film. Still worth seeing though.
