A Four Letter Word (2007)

Six people in New York are adrift. Zeke and Luke work in a sex shop: Zeke takes gay liberation seriously, Luke likes to sparkle and takes nothing seriously. He's offended when Stephen calls him a gay cliché, then, surprisingly, they find each other attractive and interesting. Stephen, it turns out, has a great apartment, trust fund, and artwork he's painted on his walls. Meanwhile, Peter, a neat-freak, and Derek, nice to everyone, move in together. Peter's compulsiveness threatens the relationship. Last, newly-engaged Marilyn, a recovering alcoholic stuck at step 2, can't stop obsessing about wedding details. Can these folks sort out civilization and its discontents?

...explores gay life in New York primarily through the eyes of Luke ... who is so busy trying to sparkle that he's made himself into the perfect gay cliché.

I enjoyed this bit of fluff. Cute Story, nice bodies. Maked Gay relationships seem pretty mainstream. From this social commentary, looks like we all want the same things our hetro counterparts want in a relationship.

no really, i dont usually like to comment on this type of movies, but IT WAS GREAT!!! superb, 6 stars: great acting, sooooo funny, really funny dialog, and especially, the acting was phenomenal. Its a really good movie. nothing cliche, nothing boring. I could watch it 3 times in a row and not get bored. I really love Luke's outfits in this movie, and Cory Grant's acting was outstanding too.

Okay so one has to judge gay movies from one's own considerably bias P.O.V. This one was charming and funny (whilst upholding the time-honoured tradition of being low-budget) and had some great one liners! things are looking up.

Yet another token formula gay movie, got n R rathing in australia cause of all the male bits flying around. Weak story, bad actors and acting. Weak Weak.. one big cliche' LOL
