A loathsome redemption tale that rings false on every front except when depicting capitalistic assholery (and sometimes fails to convince us even then), Williams' directing debut The Headhunter's Calling (from a script by former corporate headhunter Bill Dubuque) not only expects us to root for its unlovable protagonist, but expects us to do so when that man is played by Gerard Butler.

A very weak karma story. The writing wasn't interesting, the actors realized it but made the best of it.

I enjoyed it. Showed a married couples real struggle to balance, without yelling and violence. Great action. Great acting.

The whole thing feels like an exercise in demonstrating Butler's acting range as his character arc takes him from boardroom beast to homely hero.

I don't understand the other reviews. So a movie that makes you grab the tissue box and if you have a heart it tears at you. Your reviews say predictable, over emotional or whatever the hell you wrote. Just temember that the highest rated show on tv is This is Us. Think about it. We need more feelings and less special effects and noire.
