Just as good, if not a bit funnier than the original.

More actions,more characters,triangle loves and great new theme yet the overall movie is not as inspiring as the original.Still a feel-good movie,better than those Over-CGS movie that made in today.

Disappointing! It's fair for the first half hour but then drags on to the last. I expect to see a continuation of this classy love story in the first episode of the trilogy, but it fails me.

Great escapist fun, typical well over the top Chinese fantasy film, sometimes it is similar to an early Dr Who with the monsters and sometimes similar to "Monkey". Still very enjoyable watching the action sequences and also has fair amount of humour. Don't ask about the storyline but in fairness it is a fantasy film and it is very energetically done. 7/10

i haven't seen the first one. but this one was still pretty good. the monster was really great. he drips what looks like applesauce!
