Young writer Sam has a crush on Birdie, the cute and quirky barista at his local coffee shop. When his conventional attempts to woo her crash and burn, he takes his efforts online, creating an Internet profile embellished with all of the details that would make him Birdie's dream guy. When the harebrained scheme is a surprise success and Birdie falls for his exaggerated alter ego, Sam must keep up the act or lose his dream girl forever.

While this unrelentingly midtempo movie milks Brooklyn for its chic, it manages to denude it of its color.

Evan Rachel Wood is delightful, so much so that you really feel sorry as she falls for the pitiful Justin Long. Whilst his loser personality is eventually addressed and twisted to give a glimmer of a decent end, it still falls short. Such a shame given the charm of the supporting cast and some fairly interesting (though still cliché) relationship themes.

So I purchased this movie based on the good reviews (91%) on Direct TV, but I did not like it. This is definitely not a 91% kid of movie. Although I paid more than normal (about $8 I stopped watching it. I will no longer trust the Direct TV ratings. Will come here first. The actress is not believable. I apologize to the entire production crew, but I did not like it.

Some jokes land as intended, and there's a weirdly star-studded supporting cast, but Corio isn't brave enough to make the movie matter, eventually submitting to painfully labored formula to land this underwhelming effort.
