Bad name, simple story, good acting, I'll take it.

On paper the story might work but in the film it does not. He fakes it until he makes it? That's not making sense. It's a recipe for disaster, likely to end in murder-suicide. Also, not credibly acted, and the is girl much too consistently nice to be real. Fake!

A Case of You is a disappointing romantic comedy that aspires to social relevance until the third act, when it settles for pat Freudian revelations.

A lot of interesting, funny performers aren’t very interesting or funny in director Kat Corio’s A Case of You.

I liked this movie. The cast is first rate. At first I wasn't sure the female lead was Evan Rachel Wood because she is not wearing any make-up, and I had gotten used to seeing her all vamped up in "True Blood." But she looks beautiful and natural, and her free spirit character is very appealing. This is your classic "good guy pretending to be someone he's not to win the girl of his dreams" rom-com. Hipster Brooklyn (possibly Williamsburg?) is a major co-star in this movie. The plot is not terribly original but, due to the strength of the cast and performances, is a pleasant enough ride.
