Solid film, doesn't quite live up to it's own hype but it's a haunting and touching film that's well worth watching for anyone.

Perhaps as a result of channeling Ozu, Denis's incipient humanism comes through more directly than in her existentially forbidding The Intruder or even her acclaimed, baroque Herman Melville remix Beau Travail.

Bit of a head wrecker, but still very engaging. Dips in & out of the various characters, leaves you dangling all the time. No obvious back story, definitely no voice overs. You draw one conclusion and then it gets contradicted in the next scene. No ending, of course, and still, for all that, Clare Denis most accessible film so far.
