Zero Days (2016)

Alex Gibney explores the phenomenon of Stuxnet, a self-replicating computer virus discovered in 2010 by international IT experts. Evidently commissioned by the US and Israeli governments, this malware was designed to specifically sabotage Iran's nuclear programme. However, the complex computer worm ended up not only infecting its intended target but also spreading uncontrollably.

It is still chilling to hear that computer viruses can now cause "real-world physical damage" on a scale that experts would have laughed off as 'Hollywood-esque' just a decade ago.

"Zero Days" is the terrifying story of one of the most dangerous weapons ever made.

This documentary might be better titled Day Zero, because it features a doomsday scenario in which cyberwarfare shuts down the electricity grids and other networks of entire countries, using computer malware.

Another quite entertaining and informative documentary by Mr. Gibney about a subject you wouldn't think that, computer science. And, quite prescient indeed to our national security, in understanding there's a much greater threat than when we had just nuclear armed states in the old days; now, we have hackers worldwide, where actions are so covert, you can't attribute those actions easily at all, and demonstrates the need for much more savvy and temperament than ever before in the Presidency. And, gives much weight to the fact we had the Iran deal, and why that was so important.

An amazing documentary about cyberattacks and it's consequence. Good interviews even tho there were clear limitations about how far the creator could go. You should see it, because this will be our futur in terms of war. 90%
