Really great film the acting was really portrayed well it was kind of disturbing and sometimes boring but something always dragged you back to watch this beautifully made film.

Yes, it's basically a morality play, but excellent nonetheless. Yolngu Boy follows the story of three Aboriginal boys of the Gumatj clan, initiated under one spirit, as they grow up and grow apart. While the story is somewhat sensational, the film accurately depicts some of the challenges facing contemporary Aboriginal people in Arnhem Land. Excellent cinematography and production values.

One of the most powerful and unique Australian films of all time, and certainly amongst the best Aboriginal films (along with Ten Canoes, Walkabout, The Last Wave etc). Brilliant.
