Ines Efron plays Alex, 15 years old and hermaphrodite. She lives with her parents who against cliche, are supportive and loving. Efron manages to convey Alexs inner conflict with a quiet intensity which is spellbinding as it is mesmerising. Her burgeoning relationship with sweet teenager Alvaro marks the point in her life where she must decide whether to stay in her intermediate state or submit to gender alignment surgery. This is a restrained and dignified movie that treats its subject with the respect it deserves. Whether he/she is male or female is entirely secondary to the fact that he/she is, as her father puts it, she is perfect.

Conmovedora hasta las lÃ¡grimas... un tema por demas difÃcil de tratar. La historia va perdiendo fuerza a medida que la pelÃcula avanza, pero el interÃ©s se mantiene ante un tema tan complicado. Es innegable la excelente actuaciÃ³n de InÃ©s Efron y la efectividad de Ricardo DarÃn pese a que esta no sea una de sus mejores interpretaciones.

Film delicat sur l'identite et les relations familiales et amoureuses. Ines Efron est d'une justesse saissante dans les sentiments feminins et masculins. Ricardo Daran qui joue son pere est parfait aussi. pas de patos pas de voyeurisme. une scene de viol qui nous renvoit tous devant nos tentations de voyeurisme.
