Lured by the promise of an Australian holiday, backpackers Rutger, Katarina and Paul visit the notorious Wolf Creek Crater. Australia has a new horror icon. He's nasty, he's evil and he's also very funny. The film doesn't have the raw energy or tension of the first film, but it showcases Mick Taylor 'talents' off perfectly!

Jarrett once again, menaces the screen with his villainous presence. With another witty script and really good acting, the film differs with more coincidences and somewhat genre cliches. But I found it to be more raw and grittier then the first. With more insight in the films vicious villian.

A movie is only as good as the villain, and in Wolf Creek 2, a premise that builds off the horrors of the Australian outback and what lies beneath, has just that; the perfect villain. Building off the star of the first film, John Jarratt hones in on the Mick Taylor character, creating a grumbling laugh that is horrifying to hear, dooming each scene to suspenseful dread. Mick Taylor is the Australian Freddy Krueger, or Michael Myers. Surprisingly, this sequel eliminated some of the faults of the original, and built off the strengths, creating an improved experience. Greg McLean has proven that some directors can in fact, learn from their mistakes. It is not a perfect movie, far from it, but it holds its worth.
