It's a fine film but does lack the intended dramatic effect that it needs. Burgess Meredith does overact a bit, but does a good job. Eduardo Cianelli gives great support. Great story.

IT'S GOOD, BUT DOESN'T HAVE THE INTENDED DRAMATIC EFFECT THAT IT INTENDED. BURGESS MEREDITH OVERACTS A BIT, WHICH MARS THE OVERALL EFFECT OF THE FILM. GOOD STORY THOUGH.

Often overlooked stage film -- great dialogue and an excellent performance by Burgess Meredith.
