Winter Passing (2006)

Actress Reese Holden has been offered a small fortune by a book editor if she can secure for publication the love letters that her father, a reclusive novelist, wrote to her mother, who has since passed away. Returning to Michigan, Reese finds that an ex-grad student and a would-be musician have moved in with her father, who cares more about his new friends than he does about his own health and well-being.

Odd, yet alluring. Great arthouse-y and deep film. nice mix of known stars and unknowns, as well as good writing. Some slow pacing, but the movie's still well worth it.

Different. A Very honest and simple story line. A beautiful movie, nonetheless, and the best Will Ferrell performance I have ever seen. He's a master of comedy but it's nice to see him act in a more serious role.

I haven't seen the end yet, because I keep falling asleep. But it 's not the movie's fault!!! I'm a fan of both Zoe and Will, and it seems they work well together, as noted in the movie "Elf". I especially like the part where he says, "God is my copilot!" Ed Harris is fairly awesome too.

very unique movie. an interesting role for will ferrell. pretty powerful movie though.
