Psychiatrist Ann Hecker is ending one relationship and possibly starting an important new one, while finding that some of the sexual exploits her patients relate are weighing on her. Turning to a married friend from her research days for guidance, she finds his help increasingly important when a female patient is murdered and it turns out that her new boyfriend was also seeing the dead woman.

This is one of my fave!!! It is a GREAT who done it movie for those thatlike to not be able to figure out what's going until the very end!!!!!

The plot is a little worn, but the portrayals of psychiatrist and clients is entertaining.

Pretty good thriller in which a female patient (Deborah Ungar) of psychiatrist Annabella Sciorra is murdered and the list of suspects include another patient of Sciorra who is a tortured artist who is into S&M, a too-good-to-be-true former boyfriend of Ungars (played by Sheridan) who becomes interested in Sciorra, and a cop who is very eager to close the book on this case. And what about always-the-good-guy Alan Alda as Sciorra's psychiatrist mentor?
