Vincent, a wealthy real estate agent, is invited to dinner by his sister Elizabeth and her husband Peter, both professors in Paris. Claude, a childhood friend and trombonist in a symphony orchestra, is also present. Vincent brings news from the prenatal examination of his and his wife Anna's unborn son. The name chosen by the soon-to-be parents strongly offends the others for many reasons. The dispute between the guests quickly escalates and before long the resurgence of old grudges and hidden secrets is unavoidable...

Le film est exactement comme la pièce de théâtre et s'avère être aussi bon. Les situations entre les personnages sont hilarantes et les rebondissements ne manquent pas. Un très bon film donc à voir en famille et aussi entre amis.

Je m'attendais à une comédie gentillette mais pas du tout. Plutôt une comédie féroce, des échanges savoureux, qui nous font rire mais qui sont en même temps d'une violence assez inouïe. Tous ces non-dits accumulés au fil du temps et qui nous pètent parfois à la gueule, mais la force de l'amitié ou de l'amour est là, parfois, on va au delà et on continue dans la bonne humeur. Et les acteurs jouent tellement bien ! (Je ne pensais pas que Bruel pouvait atteindre ce niveau)

Le prénom was funny at times but quite long at others. The narration at the beginning was setting it up to be better than it actually is though, so I was a bit disappointed.
