Ruffalo and Hawke make this extremely mediocre rehash fairly enjoyable.

Great crime drama because it doesn't focus on the crimes, instead it focuses on character, especially the Mark Ruffalo portrayal of a man trying to find redemption in a cold mean world.

Amazing performances from Ethan Hawke and Mark Ruffalo, the film has an almost documentary feel to it at times. Much better than the Departed in the Boston Mob genre.

Intense and dark tale of crime, redemption, & fatherhood. Based on the true story of writer/director Brian Goodman (also co-star), this movie shows off the acting chops of both Ruffalo & Hawke. Better than solid script. Damn good cinematography. Solid acting by the rest of the supporting cast. Definitely worth a rent. Might be showing up on Showtime or Starz very soon.

More like an 8, but gotta try to skew that dopey user rating - makes us all look bad. This was a fine film - can't wait for Goodman's next.
