Ivey hits the turf pitching and catching dialogue like a pro, but nothing could have saved What Alice Found from a fundamental cinematic illiteracy.

Mick LaSalle 25 Aug 2017

It has nothing going for it but a terrific story and an amazing performance by Judith Ivey, who plays an enigmatic Good Samaritan.

Not really a good movie, but interesting. It is interesting how it is done and it's cheap feel, but the acting and writing is sub-par. If ur into that indie look and feel, you might like it.

Kevin Thomas 19 Dec 2003

Scrupulously fair-minded yet deliciously ambiguous, What Alice Found, a triumph of sound psychological and artistic judgment, is an unexpected treat for sophisticated audiences.

One of my favorite arthouse flicks. I'm actually shocked that I was even able to find the movie listed here.
