Although stupid, the movie has a somewhat touching message to it. And that message is that every person is equal, whether they are black, tan, or white and that we are no different.

I watched this movie once about 25 years ago - it stuck in my mind since - streets ahead

The acting isn't bad, but Van Peebles' direction turns into a mess pretty often, especially when he tries to get experimental (assuming that's what he was trying to do). The music is notably awful, too. Furthermore, I have to assume that this satire on racial prejudice seemed far too simple and outdated even when it was released in 1970.

WARNING!!!: Has very explicit nudity. However, despite this, contains timeless social commentary about race relations in the U.S.

This film has a couple of funny back-and-forth banter between our main character and others. Ahead of it's time, but overdone sometimes and just goofy even for 1970.
