Well, yeah, this movie is not that great to start. I saw the first Asylum War of the Worlds about a year and a half ago, and I kinda liked it. Actually, I think I liked it more than even the Tom Cruise version, even if only because he wasnt in it. Knowing this, it should be pretty obvious why I picked this up from my local redbox yesterday. Well, this movie is was a dissapointment. It seriously was. The acting is good and the plot is pretty OK, but the special effects are just so horrid that its hard to actually focus on the film itself. Its a good thing I had a promo code when I rented it because if I would have known, I wouldnt have.

[font=Trebuchet MS]I admit I couldn't finish this movie, it is pretty bad. It is an unfunny B-movie. I don't know enough about movies to say whose fault all this is but the writing is bad, the direction is bad, there is just a little wrong with everything.[/font]

There are words... and they're strung into sentences that are then spoken by the characters... but there seems to be a disconnect between the techno-babble spoken and what's actually being presented on screen. So War of the Worlds 2 leaves you to figure out the plot for yourself. I guess there's some nifty ideas present? They're just all squandered by the cheapness and slapdashery of it all.
