Undoubtedly one of the best movies I have ever seen. It keeps itself fresh while at the same time recycling jokes. This is the movie that John C. Reilly should always look back on as the epitome of his career. The musical aspect of this movie is the steering wheel and the outrageousness of Dewey's life is the driving force. This movie could not be any more perfect, plain and simple. One definitely needs to see the directors cut, however. The theatrical version just doesn't do the full feature justice.

This film is amazing. John C. O'reilly at his best! As a fan of music films like "That Thing You Do", "Ray", and "Walk the Line" this movie is the most tasteful satire ever. The amount of amazingly funny people in the film is staggering. The Bob Dylan phase that Dewey goes through is mind-humpingly hilarious. If Kurt Cobain was the happiest person on the earth and he saw this movie he would blow his head off with a shot gun purely out of respect to the creators. Its so great. As Tim Meadow's would say "You don't want no part of this shit"... but thats code for YOU TOTALLY WANT PART OF THIS SHIT! It's not habit forming. You can't OD on it. It make sex even better. And it's the cheapest drug there is. WATCH THIS MOVIE! And remember: THE WRONG KID DIED!!!!

Genuinely hilarious comedy! The songs are also fantastic! The different stages of dewey's career are hilarious for anyone familiar with popular music.
