After failing to apprehend the terrorist behind a Paris attack that claimed dozens of lives, CIA agent Alice Racine is forced to live in London as a caseworker. If all it takes for you to get excited is the letter C, I and A then you'll be in for a hell of a ride. There's guns, explosions, espionage and some beautiful people running and fighting. If, however, you have a brain, have watched spy movies before or indeed are following the news at the moment, you might find this story tiresome and the script clunky. A headlining cast phoning it in for a load of embarrassing clichés that ultimately led to relief it was over. That there are worse movies out there is all I can say for it.

A really enjoyable espionage thriller. An excellent cast including Noomi Rapace, John Malkovich, Toni Collette & Michael Douglas perform well under the direction of Bond veteran Michael Apted and the story takes both entertaining & gritty turns, never shying away from the difficult moments and choices. Well worth a watch, despite what some critics might say.

While the topical British thriller “Unlocked” is neither as entertaining nor as evenly paced as other films in the espionage genre, it makes up some ground with a story that is absorbing and twisty.

I went to the movies with my family. We had lots of fun! My two teenagers girls were super excited about having a female hero to cheer for. The movie is full of action and surprises, so it really worked for me as well. Very good!
