All seems well for Amadeo, a shy but talented foosball player who's in love with the free-spirited Laura. Trouble strikes when Grosso, the world's best soccer player, returns home with plans to destroy the village and turn it into a new sports stadium. In a memorably bad summer for children’s films, this, surely, is as low as things can sink.

An interesting look at a high school football powerhouse but the lack of football footage and the terrible choreography of the game plays just makes Underdogs feel like an episode of Coach.

slightly teaparty but none the less a feel good movie. some fine acting and heroic plot. i saw it projected and the kids were cheering out loud ... and it looked pretty good

Kids still experiencing World Cup withdrawal symptoms may be entertained by this animated oddity from Argentina.

The players are a colourful bunch, the film referencing is smart, the football satire sharp and there are delightful moments of visual imagination in the appealing animation.
