Every choice has a consequence. But what if the flip of a coin could trigger two separate but parallel destinies? Bobby and Kate are a young New York couple at a crossroads whose lives are about to take very different directions. A seemingly ordinary July 4th is cleaved in two by the flip of a coin. One path leads them to gentle discoveries about family, loss and each other on a visit to Brooklyn, and the other plunges them into an urban nightmare of pursuit, suspense and murder in Manhattan.

The movie starts off with a couple making a decision by the flip of a coin. As a result, the movie shows both paths that they would take, not knowing what will happen. The movie distinguishes the two different paths by using green and yellow attire to make it easy to follow and yet add a bit of creativity. The story itself is plain but yet interesting. One path shows the two with the woman's family while the other shows them being chased. The acting in this movie was very well done. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Lynn Collins make their characters believable. Definitely worth the rent.

An interesting, original film with solid improvised performances and some of the best cinematography of the year. New York looks incredible and the story occasionally intrigues, but it's interesting ideas and symbolism take it only so far before you start to wonder if you're watching a once promising idea searching for meaning. Altogether, I'd say check it out if only to support a small film that obviously has some talented people behind and in front of the camera. As for as improvised dialogue goes though, it's pretty weak as the actors seem to just repeat key things over and over again, which in turn causes some scenes to lag. If you want solid improvised dialogue, check out any of David Gordon Greens films, especially "All the Real Girls."

Liked it, didn't love it. Made me want to re-watch Sliding Doors, except that movie doesn't star JGL. I'm biased, but he's better than any part of the movie, and he has more stamina than the story.

The leads are immensely appealing, but the sum of their experiences equals nothing more profound than two earnest people wrestling with a tough decision.
