The tone here is slightly absurd and sometimes even sweet.

Maitland McDonagh 22 Jun 2006

Though the film contains many haunting images, the absence of a solid emotional foundation makes its increasingly preposterous story developments feel arbitrary and ultimately pointless.

Perhaps the oddest ending to a film you'll ever come across. This well-crafted, yet ultimately shallow, Portuguese downer is tough to grapple with because it's devoid of any likeable characters.

Sam Adams 24 Aug 2006

With a title nicked from "Breakfast at Tiffany's," Two Drifters styles itself as a classical romance, albeit one in which half the couple is either deceased or deranged.

An interesting look at a potential relationship between gay men and straight women.
