Totally goofy, but I did lose my shit when the black and white "Turtle Prime" guys started quoting issue #1.

As a 25 year old fan of the original 80s Turtles series, and not particularly a fan of the 2003 reboot, I liked it more than I thought I would. Especially since the 80s Turtles are pretty much just relegated to comic relief. Had to do some wikipedia-ing to figure out what the hell was going on with the 2003 universe Shredder, so it's not quite newbie friendly. The plot is completely wacky but it's kind of awesome and spins the numerous reboots in an interesting light. Recommended for fans of either TMNT series, but obviously, not anyone else.

An entertaining story that brings together the current cartoon incarnation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) with the TMNT from the 80s. You don't have to watch all the episodes of both series to understand what is going on, but there some spots where it will explain some things that will seem odd. Also, if you are still a hardcore fan of the 80s cartoon, then you might not appreciate how much of the 80s stuff is played up for comic relief. Still, this is an excellent finale for the current cartoon series that gives something back to the fans by briefly touching upon the TMNT in all their incarnations: comics, movies, and cartoons.

I don't know if this qualifies as a "film"... but it was a good laugh for a Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles fan! So by the mysteries of obscure cartoon science, the cartoon heroes of the new TMNT series, find themselves face to face with themselves from the original 1980s cartoon! What's impressive about this venture is the mixing of the two animation styles, especially when the TMNT Turtles find themselves in the 1980s cartoon world! Unfortunately the original series voice talent aren't here, but they try their best. The original cast are displayed quite stupid and comical, the contrast is substantial; "Even trash cans don't have effect!" they shout as they throw trash cans at enemies from the modern show. Also I was very confused by the TMNT's storyline... given I've never watched it, but some explanation why The Shredder is a squid from space.... would be appreciated! But overall, I enjoyed it. It was a great homage to everything Turtles related. By everything... I mean everything!

Finally saw Turtles Forever and if you're a turtles fan this is just an awesome movie! The 2003 Turtle team meet up with their 80's turtles team, fan service all the way!
