I think I get the bad ratings, but my wife and I really liked,this film. An unsparing look at the magic, mystery, and awesome challenge of becoming a family, especially of,maybe you didn't come from one. The heroic role of being a mom...and a father, and the struggle to just be ordinary. Very un-Hollywood in a very good way. See this movie if you're thinking of starting a family!

Striking is certainly Charlize Theron. Take weight and after quickly back to the shape for the role it seems very easy for her.

The acting is amazing. You can really feel what an exhausted overworked mother feels. It's dramatic, but funny at just the right times. I feel that it paints the picture of how post-partum depression/psychosis can really be.

3/5 stars The movie is definitely different than most movies. It doesn't stick to any conventional script. It is funny, but it isn't a comedy. It is a drama, but never really feels like a tear jerker. It is definitely about people and life. It is a character driven, dialog driven movie. It is very raw -- you can feel the stress that Charlize Theron's character is going through. It is at times a bit vulgar. I found it to be good, maybe heading toward very good. And it has an ending that will leave you thinking about the whole movie.
