Don't think this film ever got a UK cinema relaese, but it's well worth seeing. Sir Christopher Lee brings a real spark to the second half of the film.

The movie was great and captivating while it was performed in Kurdistan but it went downhill after that. That is most due to Christopher Leeâ??s all knowing character that could have been more suitable for a super hero movie. As opposed to Colin Farrellâ??s that was very believable and human. The movie is well worth seeing just because of Colin.

2: It's an interesting story that comes out at an interesting time. I can't recall ever seeing a film set in Kurdistan. The Iraq of the 1980's is not a period Hollywood has exactly embraced and Iraq never really had much of a film industry. Farrell actually gives a solid performance, which was a bit surprising for me as I'm usually not much of a fan. I loved Paz Vega as always. This was the best work of hers I've seen since Sex & Lucia. Christopher Lee was great as well. This performance made me wish he were acting in far more films at this point in his career. Engaging in this type of activity must be an incredible rush. It would certainly take a certain dedication to one's craft to venture into war zones with nothing but a camera. I can see why many photojournalists would die as well, as I could certainly imagine the lens functioning as a barrier between the photographer and the surrounding events that would give them a false sense of security.

I went into this liking the idea, but then couldn't get into it as it seemed too long with not enough development. The flashbacks are nice, but really doesn't set anything off from the sheer boredom.
