Treasure Raiders (2007)

Michael, an American professor teaching history at Moscow University, finances his passion for treasure hunting with competitive street racing. His racing nemesis Wolf becomes his ally as they both embark on a quest to search for a famous ancient Russian treasure.

Brent Huff's Treasure Raiders borrows from the past to create something unoriginal. Street racing and archaeology. At just under 90 minutes the mixture of concepts never mesh together. The story becomes difficult to take seriously and the storytelling isn't much better. The interest and excitement are lacking from all angles. The action is forgettable. Run of the mill brawls, shootings, and car races just pass the time with no adrenaline whatsoever. The acting is the most atrocious piece of this production. Alexander Nevsky has line delivery that sounds like Arnold Schwarzeneggar with terrible dialogue. Steven Brand and David Carradine are the more prominent actors, but fall way short with the script. There are more characters to bash, but it's not worth the time and effort. Treasure Raiders takes concepts with potential, but fails miserably to execute. Skip.

it's like a 90 minute long commercial for porsche...it sounded like it was dubbed and the Russians sounded like they were germans...bad acting...ok story but there was nothing original...

It's bad, you have to fast forward to the funny parts, which are pretty stupid and hilarious.
