Eehh...it wasn't that great. All it is, just old Sellers footage pieced together to make an all new movie. Also there is some unused footage pieced together so the director could create an all new storyline.

After Sellers died, and after shooting a few scenes, Blake Edwards strung together this little gem. Awful. This is the last of the Pink Panther movies I watched before the remake. Which sucked.

The Trail of the Pink Panther is less a conventional comedy than an uproarious retrospective devoted to the particular achievements of the Edwards-Sellers collaboration. Some of the routines seem totally new to me, and others are familiar, but either way, most of them are huge fun, and a couple approach greatness.
