Ellie Linton, a teen from an Australian coastal town, leads her friends on an excursion to a camp deep in the woods, dubbed "Hell." Upon their return, the youths find that their town has been overrun by an enemy army, and their friends and family have been imprisoned. When the hostile invaders become alerted to their presence, Ellie and her friends band together to escape -- and strike back against -- this mysterious enemy.

this movie is a masterpiece i saw it twice it's based on a book of the same name and this has colin friels a legendary australian actor amongst the youthful cast

One of the best teen movies I have seen in a long time. Great adaptation of the books. Wonderful scenery and the young actors are doing a marvelous job. I like that contrary to Red Dawn which is from similar literature, it is more complex and more intelligently approaches the subject which is more about humanity and human struggles to survive and less about patriotism. Can't wait for part 2!

Am so proud this is an Aussie born and bred book and movie. I'm only halfway through the book and the movie was a close adaptation to it so far. Fascinating, edge of your seat, story, very exciting, great Aussie cast and beautiful scenery. Who knew The Terrace could look so beautiful! Go see it, it's outstanding!

One of the best films I have come acrossed in a long time, I like how they even managed to make it humourous as well, although the ending was on the annoying side!
