A production company begins casting for its next feature, and an up-and-coming actress named Rose tries to manipulate her filmmaker boyfriend, Alex, into giving her a screen test. Alex's wife, Emma, knows about the affair and is considering divorce, while Rose's girlfriend secretly spies on her and attempts to sabotage the relationship. The four storylines in the film were each shot in one take and are shown simultaneously, each taking up a quarter of the screen.

Great concept; sometimes the split-screen thing is frustrating because the sound alternates and you can see the dialogue you're missing. However, the great thing about having this on DVD is that it lets you choose which screen to hear, so you can watch once for each screen and get all four viewpoints in their entireties.

There's not one single cut in Time Code, which gives it the meandering feel of real life. This is both the film's strength and its weakness.

Un grandioso experimento dedicado especialmente a los voyeuristas y a los amantes de las propuestas cinematograficas desquiciadas. El director Mike Figgis divide la pantalla en cuatro para mostrarnos cuatro historias que poco a poco se van entremezclando. Todas las historias se presentan en una sola toma y sin ningun tipo de edicion. El experimento logra salir avante y por una hora y media, el director logra captar nuestro interes. Los amantes del cine tradicional, favor abstenerse.

But for all its pretensions toward exemplifying a brave new way of making movies, Time Code offers less and less worth discovering as it slouches toward its tritely "fatal" climax.
