Throw Momma from the Train (1987)

Larry Donner, an author with a cruel ex-wife, teaches a writing workshop in which one of his students, Owen, is fed up with his domineering mother. When Owen watches a Hitchcock classic that seems to mirror his own life, he decides to put the movie's plot into action and offers to kill Larry's ex-wife, if Larry promises to murder his mom. Before Larry gets a chance to react to the plan, it seems that Owen has already set things in motion.

I absolutely love this movie! It has a laid back style of comedy that matches my sense of humor almost perfectly, so I get all the jokes. I would be hard pressed to think of a better duo than Billy Crystal and Danny DeVito. Billy Crystal+Danny DeVito= win Owen's Momma gives the lynch pin performance of the movie. She really does a good job of making us hate her, but after some time, you can't help loving her too. Quoting her best lines here does not do her justice, but here are some of my favorite lines: "Owen! Bring me a soda with some ice in it!" "He's trying to kill me! I asked for the salted nuts, he brings me the unsalted nuts, the unsalted nuts MAKE ME CHOKE!" Owen: "Owen loves his momma!" Momma: (Singsongy) "Owen loves his momma, owen loves his momma!" Good times... good times...

Absolute classic. By today's standards (maybe even back when it was made, I was too young to know at the time) this is camp at its finest.

my mom when this came out she hated it but she found it on tv once and she cracked up so we went to 11 store tring to find it we went to blockbusters and we found it they let us buy it so if you want funny then this is the best i loved the movie some good lines are "owen don't have any friends he's stupid and fat" "go barry your friend in the yard before he stinks up the place"
