For it's time the special effects were second to none, however the story, or should I say the lack of story, sucks.

Very solid early SF flick. Worth watching.

A great retro sci-fi flick with a really neat premise.

Pioneering sf drama about space travel is rich in storytelling, atmosphere, visual design and color.

The visuals and special effects are absolutely gorgeous with the technicolor photography, the Metaluna Mutants are cool as hell and Universal should be credited for assembling such a good cast. Other than that there isn't much. It entertains but you, like the characters, will feel like your just being dragged along on a theme park ride that doesn't get moving till the last half hour.
