The 2007 colorized High Def version is just glorious!

A typical movie they would show on a UHF channel during a Saturday afternoon. Lacks the style of most other Harryhausen movies and follows the formula of the alien invasion movies during the Cold War. It is fun to see how odd the aliens walk adding to the B-movie quality.

A classic in many ways, now available in colour, which makes this 10 times better, the way the flying saucers were done is unbelievable for the dat this film was made, Harryhausen at his best. Great to see Joan Taylor talking about her time with Harryhausen films.

'Earth vs. The Flying Saucers' is definitely the weirdest B-movie, with primitive yet real-looking special effects (SFX) including the flying saucers. If there are more '50s-era Ray Harryhausen movies like this one, then I'm in.

One of the first great science-fiction movies of our times. Yes the graphics were cheap and the movie was in black and white but in the 50's Ray Harryhausen was a Spielberg or a Lucas. I was looking forward to having the suacers crash into world monuments like the Eiffel Tower or Big Ben. My favorite part was when the saucers crashed into the Lincon Monument that was cool how each individual piece of the was animated. Very cool movie sort of like War of the Worlds or Independance Day.
