Thirst (1971)

The inhabitants of a small village in a backward area of Macedonia earn their living by sending their men abroad in search of employment. Three young girls, named Elica, Maria and Nikolina live and work as schoolteachers in the village. Each of them try to make sense of their lives, in that situation where it is imposed on them. In the village the greatest problem is the supply of water. Spring water is carried by Marko from the distant mountains Marko is falls in love with the poor girl Kate...

Makes you want to pay attention in Scouts! Crappy movie, but I do want to say that my husband (who happens to be an Eagle Scout) always took crossing the Mohave Desert very serious while we all joked around. I won't tease him anymore after this movie!

If this movie is on TV or available in the Red Box and you have nothing going on, you would be better off watching Ghost Adventures or Bear Grylls on Discovery. The element of horror this movie is not. This movie is more like a test of desert survival myths - somebody call Adam Savage, Jamie Hyneman, Kari Byron, Grant Imahara, and Tory Belleci. I feel bad for Lacey Chabert as she is talented but cannot find her niche outside of TV and cartoon voices; maybe she doesn't want to.

Prepare to laugh. THIS IS A MUST READ REVIEW!!! Okay, this movie was HORRIBLE, as I knew it would be, but the last 15 minutes of this movie is hilarious. SPOILER: Lacey Chabet keeps herself alive by quenching her thirst. How she does this is UNTHINKABLE. She gives herself an IV from her husbands friends girlfriends breast implants.

really an entertaining survival thriller nothing scary except the lost hope of making out alive in the baking sun with no water Lacey Chabert exhibits great emotion in her acting and her character is thankfully smart, optimistic, caring and non-single minded the rest of the cast does ok I do like that they actually get into some depth (kinda long) conversations about where they stand given the situation the desert serves as the perfect opposite of the freezing terrain or the open ocean the environment for once acts as the main antagonist much like 'Frozen' these people rely on one another to preserve not only their rations but their means of physical and mental capacity you can expect the things you'd face when stranded in the middle of nowhere with the effects of dehyradtion like delusions of grandeur and resorting to the most unimaginable survival tactics this indie semi-horro flick is a good one maybe a bit sad towards the end but still not upsetting

Intense with a breath of fresh air ending
